Getting started

Create your account, find your workspace and learn the main screen. · 3 min read

Sir, Post runs in your browser. There is nothing to install.

1. Create your account

  1. Click Start free at the top of this site.
  2. Enter your name, email and a password (at least 8 characters, with letters and numbers).
  3. Complete the quick human check and click Create free account.
  4. Open the email we send you and click the link to verify your address. Then sign in.

2. Your workspaces

Everyone gets a Personal workspace. To work with others, create a Team workspace from the workspace switcher at the top left, then invite people (see Invite your team).

3. The main screen

  • Left: your collections, history and environments.
  • Middle: the request you are editing, with sections for Params, Authorization, Headers, Body and Docs.
  • Right: the response after you press Send.
  • Top right: the environment picker, and a green Live dot when real-time updates are connected.
